Influence on modern practice
Lust imported Kneipp hydrotherapy and gave American naturopathy its name, its first college, its journal and its professional associations — the institutional line that runs to today's licensed naturopathic doctors. His era's claims also drew prosecutions for practising medicine without a licence, a conflict that shaped later licensure law.
